Strength and Conditioning
All Inverness Blitz athletes are encouraged to participate in the organisation's Strength and Conditioning programme. Due to lack of time the majority of the Strength and Conditioning work done at present focuses on Olympic Style weight training done at the Highland Institute of Sport Weights Room in Inverness Leisure. All sessions are conducted by a suitably qualified instructor and are specific to the individual athlete. It doesn't matter what age you are...In fact the Blitz encourages athletes to get involved in this style of training from as young as 11 / 12 years old. To get involved in Strength and Conditioning you must first be part of an Inverness Blitz project or Highland Wildcats squad. Ask your coach how to get involved in the Weight training or contact the Blitz office directly by phone or email. |
